Ashley Martin, 45, died on the A1198 at Papworth on Saturday 17th January 2009 at about 8.15am, when he was involved in a road traffic accident on his way to work.
'Ash' was married and leaves behind his wife, seven year- old daughter and a four-year-old son. 'Ash' was a keen biker, riding in all weather, all year round, he co owned Wheelfit motorcycles with his brother Garry.
After being in the motorcycle industry for many years at their Chesterton site, he finally managed to see Wheelfit move to their new premises at Waterbeach before he passed away. There will be an enormous void left now he has gone.
Funeral was on Friday 13th Feb 2009 at 12 noon. Biker friends showed their support by meeting up and joining onto the funeral procession.

It was a good turn out despite the cold, wet weather to honour the man we knew as 'Ash'.
Friends and colleagues decided to do something in his memory, the Ashley Martin Memorial Rideout was born and on the 10th of May 2009 the first event took place, a suitable tribute ! Magpas was chosen as the charity to fundraise for because they attended the scene of Ash's accident and tried to save him. It has then been an event on the motorcycling calendar ever since.
